As a private tutor in NYC, I have 7+ years of private tutoring experience. I have received professional training in coaching students for the ACT & SAT exams, as well as preparing high school students for regents examinations. I’ve worked with students of all grades and levels in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus. My role as a tutor and educator extends beyond the development of technical knowledge, as I always have and continue to attend trainings and seminars in all matters of pedagogy, from time management and workload organization/streamlining, to mental test prep and stress/anxiety management.
I have encountered students of countless learning styles, and I have gathered a body of strategies and attack plans that allow me to tailor a learning experience to each student’s needs. My test prep (ACT/SAT) students receive free personalized study materials, detailed study plans and additional practice tests.
As an adjunct mathematics lecturer at the City University of New York I have experience teaching single and multi-variate Calculus, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Analysis and introductory Statistics courses. I have experience tutoring students from colleges and universities throughout NYC in all core undergraduate mathematics topics. Whenever my expertise is sufficient, I also work with graduate students.
